Blacklake Golf Course - Lakes/Canyon Course -- *Great Place!*
Review by: Brad D.	I have played all three 9 hole courses and each one offers you a different challenge. The greens had just been re-done so that was a little disapointing but you can tell that this place is awesome when everything is green. It is a must play if your traveling through the Central Coast.

Mill Valley Golf Course -- *Short and Sweet*
Review by: Art Senter	This is a very pleasant course to play. It wanders through the redwoods in a sheltered valley. It's not a hard course, but it can be frustrating: there are few chances hit the long ball and the greens are small. Look out for the creek that wanders through the course - accuracy is important here.

Whispering Oaks Golf & Country Club
"OUTSTANDING VALUE"
Played it many times. Expansive layout, well manicured, nice greens. A little dry at times, but thats the neighborhood. Recent updates such as massive waste-bunkers installed in various locations make it attractive, looks expensive. A very fun course to play. Better than 2 or 3 other courses in the area. Water holes are a challenge and beautifully presented. But don't tell anybody, I like the course to myself. Going back Feb 3rd to the 13th 2004.

Bent Creek Country Club
"Exquisite Conditioning"
I was a member at Bent Creek for ten years until moving to South Carolina. Day in and day out, compared with top caliber courses, this is probably the best conditioned course in the Mid-Atlantic area. Tees, fairways, and greens are bent grass, as are the practice tees and even one of the two practice ranges. The course is more difficult than its slope and course rating indicate, with very difficult holes at the start, especially from the back tees. It is a great course for average players from the regular men's tees, and a fantastic test for better players from the back. An under-par score from the back tees is exceptional.

"Gary's Review"
I have to admit that I have been a charter member since it opened about 5 years ago. It is a very pretty course and the greens and fairways are maintained in excellent condition. Indeed you can use every club in your bag during an 18 hole round. Fairways range from relatively flat to uphill or down hill. The greens are some what undulating such that an approach shot or chip close to the pin is rewarded while a shot further away typically will require at least a two put to get it in. So far a few sand traps have been installed with probably more to come. During the peak season the tees suffer some what from heavy member play and frequent tournaments. The restaurant has excellent meals especially on Friday and Saturday nights or for booked events. The staff are very friendly and ready and willing to assist in any way they can. The carts have GPS locator systems built into them (the 1st. in Central New York I believe) which enable you to electronically record your score, know your yardage at all times from the cart to the pin, and even to order refreshments at the turn. Try out the course. You will be pleasantly surprised.
