I grew up playing MCC. The main criticism of the track has always been that you never get a flat lie, which is often enough true, but a weak criticism nonetheless.
When typically fast the greens are challenging (hint: everything breaks toward the ocean); on #13, if you don't keep it below the hole, any putt you don't sink will wind up all the way at the bottom.
The course favors a longer driver, and offers plenty of challenge and opportunity for creativity. And you can't beat the view of the Pacific. |
