Rock Creek Country Club

Rock Creek Country Club -- Good Course, Great Value
Review by: Joe Played this course twice while in Wilkesboro, once in July and again in November. The course plays short but shot selection is key. Conditions are great around greens, and the fairways, elevation changes, and occasional creeks give you that natural North Carolina Golfing feel. The best part was I played 18 holes and a cart for $14. It's hard to beat for the money.

Links at Oliver's Landing, The -- Did not meet my expectations
Review by: DK Pro-shop minimal. Pro-shop attendant very helpful with suggestions on tee shot placement on several holes. Greens in pretty bad shape - disease, crab grass. Rough very bad - I think this is because of the type of grass. You'd see where your shot landed but when you got there it was like the grass had just swallowed the ball - had to search by dragging your feet. VERY hilly - even with a perfect tee shot you will often have a side-hill lie - not really readily playable by all skill levels.
