| Palmer Golf Course -- Fairly nice course with great views |

A relatively straight and flat 18 hole course.
The only true hazards are the Matanuska River,
whose valley forms a lateral hazard along a few
of the holes, a fence line for the local airport
on a few holes, and some seasonal ponds. By
midsummer, the ponds have dried up and you are
left with grassy depressions. Still a place to
avoid, but not nearly as imposing without the
water. Several of the greens are guarded by
bunkers, but they are not very deep. The course
tends to be well kept, but expect a few bare
spots early in the season.

Lovely course in central Alaska, well maintained green. 9-hole golf course, open til 2am. Only $20 for a game of 9, $30 for an 18 holer.
We rented clubs & took their pro-lesson at $35/hr. Definitely worth the change.
