This is a town course, Orangetown residents get lower fees and can book earlier than the rest of us. I have never been able to request which course combination of the three, they tell you when you get there. Also the 9-hole weekday option is really a twilight rate.
...oh and the golf is challanging enough with the shorter par 5's having 2 tier greens.

IT HAS BEEN 13 YEARS SINCE I PLAYED AT BLUE HILLS AND I FOUND THE CHANGES IN THE COURSE SET UP AND THE CONDITIONS SIMPLY GREAT. THE STAFF WAS FRIENDLY AND COURTEOUS. MY FAVORITE WAY TO PLAY IS TO GO TO A NEW COURSE AS A SINGLE AND SOAK UP ALL THE NEW EXPIERENCES FROM THE CLUBHOUSE TO THE 3 NEW PLAYERS I MEET AT THE 1ST TEE. AT BLUE HILLS I FELT LIKE A MEMBER AT AN EXCLUSIVE COUNTRY CLUB. THE FAIRWAYS AND GREENS WERE IN FABULOUS CONDITION. I HATE "TRICKED UP " GOLF COURSES AND I FOUND THIS LAYOUT RIGHT THERE IN FRONT OF YOU. IT DEMANDS ACCURACY, LIKE ANY GOOD COURSE,AND SHOT MAKING ABILITY. I WAS HAPPY WITH MY 3 BIRDIES, WELL SATIFIED WITH ANY PARS, AND DESERVING OF MY BOGIES. MOST OF MY GOLF IS PLAYED IN ARIZONA THESE DAYS AND I FOUND BLUE HILLS A GREAT CHANGE OF PACE. ONE THING IS THAT THE BUNKERS COULD USE A BIT MORE SAND SO FOR YOUR OWN GOOD STAY OUT OF THEM. ENJOY IT ALL. |
