Monterey Peninsula Country Club - Shore Course -- Beautiful
Review by: Kevin Townsend While I have not played any of the big name courses, it is not a surprise that this is by far the nicest golf course I have ever played. As the grandson of a member I had the opportunity to come and play on perhaps the nicest day in April. I was incredibly impressed with the architecture especially with the 13th or 14th hole on the Dunes Course, a par three running along side the ocean where you can feel mist from the water crashing against the rocks. I live in northern california and it was a real treat to be able to come down to Monterey and play this beautiful course. Also, as I am used to hitting at driving ranges with two levels and astro-turf mats, it was amazing to be able to hit as many golf balls that I wanted on their driving range which has honestly breath-taking views of the ocean. Awesome course.
