I've played this course several times during my visits to N. Ky and Cincinnati. I'm a Florida golfer and playing a course with hills like this is a true experience. Don't let the distance fool you either, this course is as tough as any 6500+ yd. course I've played. The approach shot is almost always an uneven lie, even from dead-center fairway and usually up or down a steep grade to the green. I was even a little nervous driving the cart on a few of the paths there They should give you quadrunners instead of carts! The wooded surroundings are very scenic and offer almost total quiet. One of the holes offers a breathtaking view of the Cincinnati Skyline and river valley, some 1000 feet below. Although a few of the fairways were a little bare in spots, the greens were well-maintianed. Overall, this is a well-kept course. If you're in the area, give this one a shot for a fun and challenging experience. |
