Even though they had recently burned the natural grasses (this is done purposefully to restore the grasses to a natural height) this course was no cakewalk. There are rolling features on every hole, this is not flat land. The fairways are wide by professional standards, but the average duffer will be challenged. I can't imagine trying to keep my nerve if I was looking at 4 foot tall grass just off the fairway.
The course is well kept, the fairways and greens were in great shape for mid-April. Rental carts were well cared for and in good condition. Mozingo Lake was a surprisingly well run golf course for the area (a city of 12,000 in rural Missouri.) |
