Highland Golf Course -- *This course gets tougher every year*
Review by: Brad Coil	When we were in our late teens and 20's and refining our golf skills, we would play this course to test our nerves and agility. It was long, dusty, long (emphasis on long), and unforgiving. And did I say long? (especially when the famous Idaho wind blew). Now, the trees are huge, the fairways are fabulous, and the greens are as nasty as ever. Many of my friends simply cannot pass through Pocatello anymore without still stopping to play this course. Play both this course and Riverside, and you'll get a taste of the best golf in southern Idaho.

Marshall Canyon Golf Club
"Trickier than you think and don't EVER walk."
Marshall Canyon is a fun course with some quirky holes but for the most part it is pretty fair. The greens are trickier than you think and there are some hole placements that totally suck if you get above the hole. It is a hilly course that you don't want to walk unless you are in very good walking shape. All in all, it is a good course with a decent price.

"Scenic and challenging"
This is a beautiful and well designed course. The course can prove to be challenging for both the beginner and scratch golfer alike. The high grass that seperates some of the holes can be frustrating, so you would be well advised to keep to the left on such holes. During the fall the greens are usually riddled with leaves and twigs so spring and summer would be your best bet. The developer did an excellent job incorporating the natural surroundings into the course. With a tee off the top of a ridge on hole one, to the natural rocks that appear throughout the course, Greystone Golf Club in Dickson is sure to give you the feeling of connecting with nature as you connect with your ball.

Hawktree Golf Course
"Mid-80's golfer"
Hawktree is an extremely beautiful and challenging course. By having four seperate tee box choices, the course is designed for the best golfers right down to the average golfers. Course management is an absolute must. "Risk-Reward" is an understatement. You can find yourself adding several strokes if you get "too gutsy." The design of the course offers beautiful views with challenging holes. It is a little spendy, but you WILL get your money's worth. I recommend it to everybody who swings a stick.

Rock at Woodmoor, The
"The best course I've ever played."
This course is wonderful. I have a summertime home up on Drummond Island, and I play the rock every chance I get. It's just great, it captures the wonderful essence of the Island in a golf course. It's just a great place to be. You feel so alive, in the early summer morning being on this course. Plus the golf aspect is also great. It's a bit of a challenge, but when you're at the rock, you love the challenge. I guarantee, that unless you play the courses on the PGA tour, that the rock will be the best golf experience of your life.
