Westwood Hills Country Club -- Much-Improved Course Renovated in 2002
Review by: Ozark Golfer Short yet challenging course. Home course for the Ozark Invitational, held annualy in late April. Poplar Bluff has many good, serious golfers including the Godwin family. Father Luther (Buddy) Godwin is a former MO Amateur Champion (early 70's) and his son Bobby won the inaugural MO Amateur stroke play championship in the mid 90's. Youngest son Ben won the MO Amateur (match play) in 2003. Very good course and an even better value for its members. The course went through an extensive renovation project from the fall of 2001 through spring of 2002. Nice greens and the shapely bunkers are plentiful. Also, there are now beautiful, plush zoyzia fairways. One of the best courses between St. Louis and Memphis. There are a few ponds but to my knowledge there is no water running along some fairways as is stated on this site.

Tapawingo National Golf Club - Meramec/Prairie Course -- Very nice course
Review by: Tom Ross This course is my favorite in St. Louis and has three 9 hole courses to pick from. They are all nice looking and provide a lot of variety. It's worth the price tag.
