Powell Country Club -- Hometown review
Review by: Rob Lofland I grew up in Powell, and can tell you first hand that this course is tough. Tight narrow fairways on the back nine, with lots and lots of trees. A type of desert course on the the front, open, but hazards will get you. I have seen this course mature over the years, it is a nice golf course, one I would recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy a nice round of golf.

Glen "Red" Jacoby Golf Club -- College Diversion
Review by: U-Dub Grad When I went to "U-Dub" 97-98, this course was accessible, inexpensive and a great diversion from the rigors of study. The greens were always in "decent shape" (readable - not too torn up, in spite of the fact that college students are notorious for their lack of respect of other peoples property), and maybe most importantly, a very friendly and helpful staff. One of the biggest problems that occurred was due to the proximity of the Denver Metro Area, the weekends were ususally full of "foreigners" which made it hard to get a tee time on the weekend, the weekdays weren't bad. Wide open fairwawys, readable, puttable greens and Rocky Mountain scenery. If you need more than that to enjoy golf, I probably don't want to know you.
