Similk Golf Course -- Fun time
Review by: Mike Similk will never make a Top 10 list for beauty, course design or playability, but it should be on the list of fun courses. For beginning golfers, there may not be a better full-sized, 18-hole track in the state. Lots of wide open spaces, so big hitters will have a great time. (There are reachable par-4's and eagles to be had on par 5's.) One note: this course can be dangerous for the uninitiated. There are several criss-crossing fairways and elevated tees that have you hitting over the heads of golfers below. The course still uses the dreaded rubber mats in places, too. But if you are looking for a course to use the driver and score low, Similk is a real confidence booster!
