Cheviot Hills Golf Club -- Hills at Cheviot
Review by: Vernon L. Brookins Cheviot Hills is an affordable golf course for the weekend golfer. However, although it is generally wide open, and a ranger speeds play; the course lacks ball washers at several holes and there needs to be better snacks. This course drains well after a storm. Cheviot Hills uniqueness comes from the 50-60 degree hill between the 17th and 18th holes. If you are walking, this is a real challenge. Although it is not a championship course by any stretch of the imagination, it is moderately demanding due to the hilly terrain.

North Ridge Country Club - Lakes Course -- Finest facility in the RTP area
Review by: Beau Braker I had the pleasure to visit this full service country club and I can tell you, nobody does it better!!!!!!!! The staff, facilities and golf courses are impeccable. They might be the finest family oriented full service country club in the USA. Terrific!

Raleigh Golf Association -- Short but sweet
Review by: Bob Davidson Holes on the first and 3rd nines are a bit shorter with the second nine offering some longer and more challenging holes. This "old-style" course (5,964 yards from the tips), which I would characterize as fairly easy, is generally kept in excellent condition. The fairways are mowed pretty short and the greens are generally well-drained and fast. The par 5's are all reachable in 2 and the par 3's offer good birdie opportunities. Many of the par 4's are short and open enough to also offer up some birds. One of the best things is that tee times are not taken so you can walk on anytime. This fact, the close proximity to Raleigh, the RTP, and Cary, plus the reasonable prices, keep it high on my list. On the other hand, if you are a scratch golfer, this course might not offer you enough of a challenge.
