Richland Golf & Country Club -- *excellent muni course*
Review by: Anonymous	for local players, this course has made huge strides. Bill Burgess, the head guy, has done wonders with this 9 hole municipal course. The greens are as good as any at the nearby Lake of the Ozarks. Good muni golf, reasonably priced, wonderful staff.

Crystal Springs Quarry Golf Club -- *Good golf...*
Review by: C Moore	I have played Crystal Springs Quarry on a number of occasions, and I must say it is one of my favorite courses. The setting is beautiful, and the holes are challenging. The #2 hole features an elevated tee, and this is pretty rare in Missouri. Lots of fun and affordable.

Highland Springs Golf Course
"Great couse."
This course is a great example of Ozark Mountain terrain. Flawless greens, oceans of water, and large greenside and fairway bunkers make this golf course a 5 star course. The layout is a bit easier than your traditional 5 star PGA Tour Championship courses. The Nike/Buy.com/whatever its name is this year tour uses this course each year for one of its tournaments and the players always remark on quality maintenance.

Mill Creek Golf Club
"Living and Playing Mill Creek"
I chose to live in the Mill Creek Community after playing Mill Creek Golf Course. The course is long enough to challenge the low handicapper while allowing the average golfer to handily compete. While each hole presents its unique challenge, holes 7, 9, and 15 can be particularly formidable. Hole 7 is a reasonably short par 4, just 326 yards from the white tees and 400 yards from the championship tees, but take the ball out of the fairway -- kiss it good bye. Hole 9 (359 yards from the white tees and 439 from the championship tees) commands distance and accuracy from the tee if one expects to reach the green in two. A bed of rocks to the left of the fairway, woods to the right, and a ravine paralleling its length on the left with a wide ditch crossing the fairway about 50 yards from the green, simply command excellent club selection. Hole 15 and be a pussy cat or a bear. Wind in your face requires a long wood. Wind with you, and a five iron may place your ball in a 50 yard water and grass hazzard which crosses the fairway about 100 yards from the green. The entire course undulates and winds through just over 7000 yards from the championship tees. The fairways allow the ball to be played down while the bent greens firmness can cause many putter miscalulations. All in all, this is a great course -- especially at fees ranging from $39 - $59, cart included.

Lake Platte Golf Club
"It's Okay"
This course is okay as far a playability goes. When I went there were dead spots of grass in the fairways and the greens, however we were in the middle of a drought during this time. For a small town golf course, it is pretty good.

"The Oaks Course"
A very different challenging layout. A need for power, finesse and a little luck will be needed on this course. Fairways in good shape. Greens are in good shape but could be faster. A decent value for your money.
