Unfortunately the review system on this site will not allow lower than a one star rating. I can usually find something nice to say about almost any course, unfortunately, not here. This is truly a dog track. I had not played it in probably 10 years prior and knew it was bad back then only to discover that it was not only still bad, it was worse. I am not sure if the fairways are crab grass or weeds and the greens are like shag carpeting. Do yourself a favor, go 15 minutes away and play somewhere else. |

| Cary Country Club -- Very Rude Staff and Boring Course |

From the second we walked into the clubhouse with 2 groups of 3, the staff was very rude and short with us. They turned on the sprinklers in the middle of our play and kicked us off of the course on Hole 8, at 8:30 (we very easily could have finished up #9 since dusk wasn't until 9). There are many other golf courses it the McHenry area that are cheaper and much friendlier. The course was not very challenging for the price, not many hazards and no water on the front nine. The course had very little creativity. We will never play at Cary Country Club again. |
