Featured Golf Course Review:
| Lakewood Golf & Country Club -- Best course in the county |
| Review by: Robby Owen |
I have been playing at Lakewood Country Club for about 11 years. Lakewood is the most improved course that I have seen in those 11 years. I would recommend everyone to go out and play the course. It can be difficult from the back tees. The lowest I shot from the back tees was 67. And from the white tees the best is 64 so all you golfers go out there and try to beat those scores. Lakewood has a great staff as well as the head pro. You will not find no better guy than Richard Walters. |

| Willowhaven Country Club -- Great Greens, A Little Short on Length |
| Review by: Anonymous |
I'm not a member at WillowHaven CC, but I've played the course about 8 times and each time has been a great experience. I'm 10 handicap who has both scored well and bad at this course. Though the course can be considered to be somewhat short (6400 from the tips), it has a definite identity with its dog legs, tree lined fairways and excellent greens. You can truly end up over par on a hole if you're approach shot is not placed in the proper location on or around the green. I have played many courses in Pinehurst and around Raleigh and I always look forward to a round at this course. I'm very suprised that this course has not received much pub when I search on the Internet. |
