Calhoun Country Club -- *Pleasent to play*
Review by: Matthew T. Bowen	This is a compact 18 hole course and fun to play. The fairways are rolling with raised Tees and Greens. The course is well manicured and maintained, the greens small and challenging. I can�t wait to play this course again.

Patriots Point Golf Links -- *Do not spend the money*
Review by: Kasey	Was in the area lokking for a place to play. Picked up a Charleston area golf guide billing this as a resort type layout. For $59 I got sanded greens, sandless and compacted bumbers, no green the same in terms of speed. The only hole on the course to talk about is #17. I would not pay more than $15 to play this course and that is after I checked the condtions of the greens.

St. Clair Shores Country Club
"Great Shape - Slow Play"
I've been playing St. Clair Shores Country Club since 1983. Over the years the quality of the course, ie: fairways, greens and overall layout of the course had improved greatly. It's a fine course to play for all levels. The better golfer may find it a bit short. Most par 4's are in the low to mid 300's. The course is mainly flat, but offers many different obsticles. Plenty of sand makes up for the flat layout. Water also poses problems on several holes. Hole #14, a mid range par three, requires a full carry over water. The main problem with St. Clair Shores Country Club is the SLOW PLAY. The course rangers, while very nice, do not do their job properly. In fact, over the past 20 years, they've gotten progresively worse. So don't expect any help if your stuck behind a group that take's more time than normal. Remeber, it's not a race. At least that's what I tell myself each time I go out to St. Clair Shores Country Club. Needless to say, it gets a bit frustrating at times. In conclusion, the course is maintained quite well. If you can get out on a weekday morning that would be the best time to enjoy your round. The rates are about mid $40's for 18 holes and a cart.

Clear Creek Golf Club
"Best Par 3 Course Ever"
It really makes you work on your short game. If you need help with your wedges this is the place to be. There are some really long par 3 holes up to 200 yards. It is deep in the woods and has some narrow fairways. I give it 5 stars for being challenging and fun.

Triggs Memorial Golf Course
"Donald Ross Design at Public Rates"
Triggs is a good course, a tough layout from the back tees. Donald Ross designed Muni gets a lot of play and is a little rough around the edges, but a great test of golf. Played there for years before I relocated South.

Ticonderoga Country Club
"Challenging long holes & tremendously manicured"
This 18-holer had a great mix of long and short holes, challenging and intermediate greens. This course is in particularly good condition year after year for such hard winters. Besides for some of the grumpy old men who play the course, and think they own it and let you know it (standard, yet dieing breed of golf clientele for some courses), I have had several fantastic rounds on this course.
