San Leandro Golf Club - Marina Course -- Great Challenging Course
Review by: HaywardGolfer This course is beautifully designed. I found it pretty challenging; seems like there are a lot of trees that can get in the way. The yardage is on the longer side which is a nice change for a nine hole course in the area. This place is a great deal - the greens fees are less than 20 bucks and this is a super nice course.

Black Oak Golf Course -- Black Oak golf course - in Auburn, California
Review by: Ellen What a find! Folks might think - for such a cheap rate - it would be a goat track or a cow pasture (as my husband has referred to a few places we've stumbled across)... but NOT this course! Black Oak is a beautiful, peaceful setting with lush fairways and well-maintained greens; water, sand, big trees, and wildlife (deer & wild turkeys!) My husband is a much better golfer (handicap 12) than myself (handicap 34) - but this little course was challenging & fun for both of us. The staff was very accommodating, welcoming us for a walk-on round of golf while on our way up to Reno. They have power carts but the course is a gorgeous walk. We thoroughly enjoyed playing there, and only wished it was 18 holes - instead of just 9!
