Shawnee Country Club -- Fun and fast
Review by: Jim Shawnee is a well rounded 9 hole course tucked in the outskirts of Sanborn, NY. Water hazards, sand traps, dog legged, narrow tree lined fairways, this course has it all. Excellent for beginner or young golfers, Shawnee is great place to practice fundamental skills, while it is still challenging enough to be alot of fun. This course can also be played by a foursome in about 2-3 hours, makeing it great for an after work golf outing.

Stafford Country Club -- A Walter Travis gem
Review by: Ed Homsey Walter Travis was at his best in his layout of the Stafford CC course. In his routing of the layout, he made maximum use of the rolling terrain. The course sustains the interest of golfers at all skill levels. The small greens are a challenge to hit in regulation, with the original Travis greens requiring a high degree of accuracy and a keen eye for the subtle, and not so subtle breaks. Many of the original Travis bunkers have been restored, increasing the demand for accuracy from the tee as well as shots to the green. Travis once said, "My courses always look easier than they are." Stafford has lulled many golfers into that initial perception. One never tires of trying to understand, and master its subtle and intriguing challenges.
