Woodland Golf Park -- Fun Course at Low Cost
Review by: Keith Mondy I had a great time playing Woodland. It's well kept, and that's said after playing it in February. I'd love to see it in the spring and summer. It's an exec course, and it's well worth the drive out of town (about three miles, but just call the club and they'll direct you). Fourteen holes, with the longest at about 340 yards, with large greens that offer good variety in pin placement. Only $10 for the round made it a pleasant experience.

Villa de Paz Golf Course -- honoring golf specials advertised in newspaper
Review by: Ken Yabe today, May 19th the AZ Republic had a special, $20 for seniors for two players, ($10 each)for Villa De Paz. When we arrived at the golf course, with a coupon, it was not honored because of an error in the advertisement. I am a small business owner and like other businesses that have made mistakes in their advertising we honored whatever special that we advertised. I think its up to the business, like Villa De Paz, to honor those commitments, like it or not, whoever made the mistake, the business has to suffer the consequences for its mistake. Its not like the mistake will last FOREVER. Corrections can be made in the next edition and besides honoring the special ad, mistake or not, only promotes good will and a customer who will come back for future play because the club was willing to think, "customer first." I've always liked Villa De Paz because of its reasonable fees and good course conditions but with this incident I'm having second thoughts. Ken Yabe Phoenix, AZ.
