Mill Creek Golf Club
"Living and Playing Mill Creek"
I chose to live in the Mill Creek Community after playing Mill Creek Golf Course. The course is long enough to challenge the low handicapper while allowing the average golfer to handily compete. While each hole presents its unique challenge, holes 7, 9, and 15 can be particularly formidable. Hole 7 is a reasonably short par 4, just 326 yards from the white tees and 400 yards from the championship tees, but take the ball out of the fairway -- kiss it good bye. Hole 9 (359 yards from the white tees and 439 from the championship tees) commands distance and accuracy from the tee if one expects to reach the green in two. A bed of rocks to the left of the fairway, woods to the right, and a ravine paralleling its length on the left with a wide ditch crossing the fairway about 50 yards from the green, simply command excellent club selection. Hole 15 and be a pussy cat or a bear. Wind in your face requires a long wood. Wind with you, and a five iron may place your ball in a 50 yard water and grass hazzard which crosses the fairway about 100 yards from the green. The entire course undulates and winds through just over 7000 yards from the championship tees. The fairways allow the ball to be played down while the bent greens firmness can cause many putter miscalulations. All in all, this is a great course -- especially at fees ranging from $39 - $59, cart included.

Pines Par 3 Golf Course
"Pines Par 3"
This course is just a ball to play. Yes they are only par 3's with the longest being 90yards but this is still a great course to work on your short game. It has done wonders for mine. This course is also a great place to get the kids started on golf. Friendly atmosphere. On Monday Nights they have a Golf Tournament entry fee is about $15, including the hole-in-one pool.

Rolling Hills Golf Club
"Now OPEN TO PUBLIC! Challenging and fun!"
Rolling Hills is a great course for the intermediate to advanced player with its challengingly longer holes and strategically placed hazards, yet is fun for the beginner player with closely placed tee boxes that avoid most water hazards. The contour of this beautiful Longwood property yields anything but the typical FLAT Florida experience. For instance, the par 5, 14th takes you from the back tee box across a 180-yard water hazard to the first landing area, which originates below a 6% grade approximately 65 feet below the green. Other holes leave your second-shot approach to the green completely blind, unless your tee shot carries past 200. The dogleg left par 4, 9th, takes you up and over a large hill and drops 35 feet to the green protected by both water long and sand short. All par 5's are barely reachable in two, giving even long drivers a slim chance at eagle. The par 3's, though most are short, have tight greens and close O.B. markers. Water comes into play on a handful of holes. Eleven holes are nearly straight with a few very tight fairways. Some dog-leg holes require perfect tee shots or accurate fades to reach the green in regulation. The course grass could be greener and the fairways better managed, but at $35 per weekend morning round in peak season for FL residence, I think Rolling Hills is a great value. Pros: driving range, solid greens, fun course. Cons: No refreshment cart the day I played, a couple neglected fairways and too many lost balls on the 12th!
