Links at Shirley, The - Championship Course -- overpriced
Review by: john Course is nice, but overpriced. I've played better on Long Island for less money.

Country Club of Rochester -- "Toughest 6400 yards I've ever played!!!"
Review by: John R. Ryan An oft repeated claim, CCR has everything any confident golfer could want. I'ts stately trees, natural brooks and beauty make for a challenging and exciting day. When the annual invitational draws the best local and national college amateurs to it's historic confines, par is very rarely broken. Host to the first ever U.S. Women's Open in 1960, the club repeated as host in 1973 only to prove overly difficult, at that time, to it's eager challengers. Fabulous memoribilia (including Walter Hagen's prize putter) decorate a welcoming, yet beatifully appointed Club House that will instigate lively discussions and fond memories among it's fortunate visitors. Traditional in every sense, CCR is a tribute to the origins of "Goffe" in the United States. (When in doubt, most putts break to the Fire House.)
