Sidney Iowa Golf Courses

Fremont County Recreation Area

Featured Golf Course Review:
Fremont County Recreation Area -- Nice course for a rural area.
Review by: symphonicstan Fremont County Golf Course is a very nice 9-hole course right south of Sidney, Iowa. The new managers have continued to improve it each year. There are some delightful holes that can really challange most golfers. Bring a cart, because some of the rolling hills can be tiresome to walk.

Briarwood Golf Course -- Bentgrass Beauty
Review by: John Beautiful bentgrass fairways. Located within housing developement. Many holes are lined with out of bounds stakes with sand coming into play on almost every shot on the course and water coming into play on 8 holes. Lacking tree growth, this young course is a delight to play and from the tips can be an extremely long and challenging 7100 + yds with very long par 4's. Greens roll true and are usually in very good condition. The 2nd round of the 2004 IOWA OPEN was played here. Watch out for holes 9, 17 and 18.
