| California Golf Club of San Francisco -- Best kept secret in Northern CA |
| Review by: Ron |
This course is a great challenge for any level of player. Due to a small membership it gets very little play which is one reason the course is always in great shape. Golfer beware of the tight fairways lined with old cypress trees and small but challenging greens. Even for the lowest handicap golfer, getting up and down around Cal's greens is not a easy task.
It was built in the early 1900's with great courses like Olympic, Merced and San Francisco. It is a true golf club and not many golfers know about. A memborable experience from start to finish for sure. |

| Franklin Canyon Golf Course -- THE MARSHALL! |
| Review by: ANN |
I PLAYED THERE TODAY IN A FOURSOME. THERE WERE 2 FOURSOMES AHEAD OF US THAT WERE SLOW. FOR SOME REASON, THE MARSHALL DID NOT TELL THOSE 2 FOURSOMES TO MOVE ALONG, BUT HE TOLD US TWICE--
THE FIRST TIME TO SPEED IT UP WHEN WE COULD NOT BECAUSE OF THE FOURSOME IN FRONT OF US AND THEN MADE US PICK UP OUR BALL ON THE 9TH HOLE. WHEN WE GOT TO THE 10TH HOLE, THERE WERE 2 FOURSOMES READY TO TEE OFF. NOT ONLY DID WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR MOST OF THE HOLES, AND THAT DETRACTS FROM YOUR GAME, AFTER THE MARSHALL MADE US PICK UP OUR BALLS,MY GAME WAS GONE FOR THE REST OF THE DAY. THE MARSHALL NAME BY THE WAY IS NELSON. AND WILL I PLAY HERE AGAIN? I DO NOT THINK SO! |
