South San Francisco California Golf Courses

California Golf Club of San Francisco

Featured Golf Course Review:
California Golf Club of San Francisco -- Best kept secret in Northern CA
Review by: Ron This course is a great challenge for any level of player. Due to a small membership it gets very little play which is one reason the course is always in great shape. Golfer beware of the tight fairways lined with old cypress trees and small but challenging greens. Even for the lowest handicap golfer, getting up and down around Cal's greens is not a easy task. It was built in the early 1900's with great courses like Olympic, Merced and San Francisco. It is a true golf club and not many golfers know about. A memborable experience from start to finish for sure.

Summitpointe Golf Course -- uneven lies and undulating greens
Review by: Jerry Izu Seldom do you have an even stance on this course, the ball is always above or below your feet. The greens are fast and be sure to miss the putt on the high side of the hole. Length is not an issue.
