Review by: Bill Pavitt	Wonderful and challenging course! Elevated large greens are a challenge on the approach as well as on the green but very fair and playable. Course demands accurate tee shots with well defined fairways but errant shots are rarely lost. If you can play this course well you can play anywhere!

Eaglemont Golf Club -- *Challenging golf*
Review by: Dan Malin	Located just east of I-5 in the foot hills of Mt. Vernon, Eaglemont offers one of the most challenging rounds of golf you will encounter. Don't expect too many flat lies. The ball will be played mostly either above or below your feet once you leave the teeing area. And bring plenty of extra balls. You need to be able to hit it straight on this course. If you try to overpower this course you will loose. If you take what the couse gives you, you will do well. The greens are bent grass and in beautiful shape. They hold incoming shots well. The views are outstanding throughout the entire course and if you haven't ever played here you should for the experience.

Antelope Hills Golf Course
"Diamond in the rough"
In July, 2003 I had the chance to try out this little 9 hole course and I was very satisfied with my experience. The fairways were in tremendous condition and the greens offered a perfect putting surface. We could hear the coyotes howling as we started our round in the morning. The peacefulness alone (my wife and I were the only people on the course) was worth the price of green fees. The green fees, by the way, are very reasonable. The scenery from the first tee is spectacular, especially if you glance to the west. If you're looking for a tough challenge, this isn't the course for you. The course is not too challenging but is a perfect stop if you're a beginner or coming out of Yellowstone and want to just relax on the course. It's very wide open so you shouldn't lose any balls. My wife is a beginner golfer and had a very enjoyable round. Everything is well-maintained and we found the staff to be courteous and friendly. I plan on returning to play this course again and I highly recommend you give it a try. Definitely a course to walk (not ride) to get the full enjoyment.

Hickory Sticks Golf Club
"Best Secret in NKY"
Hickory Sticks is an unearthed gem. The condition of the course is near perfect. Because of the location (hidden but only 15 min. from I-275) makes this a logical place to play a quick undisturbed round.

Willow Run Golf Club
"GPO-27"
Some of the holes are short but with the smaller greens and water meandering around the course it makes you think as to what club to scale back to as well as making sure you don't do too much slicing. Most of the holes you can hit right at the hole if you have a high 8,9 or PW. You have to be careful off the tee on some holes due to the water running across the fairway. The back nine has some undulating fairways. The largest green seems to be No. 18 and it slopes quite a bit downward from back to front. The fairway grass has gotten better over the years since it was known as SLOCUM golf course. The staff is friendly and accommodating.
