Review by: John Bacon	This course has everything the average golfer is looking for. Scenery, challenging shotmaking, beautifully manicured fairways, and the best conditioned greens I have putted on in Northern Nevada. This course is a must play when you travel to Reno/Lake Tahoe.

Red Hawk Golf Course -- *A Must play*
Review by: Al Albert	Red Hawk was an unbelievable joy. From the courteaous staff, to the course itself, it was a joy to be able to experience Red Hawk. Club rental was a joy as they provided New King Cobra oversized clubs. The course itself has a great layout, with beautiful scenery. Some water hazards, and links stylings made this a must play for any type golfer.

Review by: Larry	Plenty of room off the tee, really tough around the greens. Lot of undulation. If you are on the wrong side or level of the green, 3 putt city. Nice shape and fun layout all around.

Heron's Ridge
"Fun, yet challenging for any level golfer..."
The course will grow on you. The first time I played it, the course kicked my hind-parts. Every hole has a different look and challenge. The fairways and greens are always in great shape, even though they don't overseed in the cold months. Because the course sits high, even though it was built on wetlands, there is always wind, and therefore a challenge. The course will beckon you back time and again. Very nice play and good staff.

Saticoy Country Club
"Best kept secret in Ventura County"
SCC is the best golf course I've played in Ventura County. Surprisingly, it seems to be the best kept secret as well. While it is not as immaculate as Sherwood Country Club or Spanish Hills, it's layout is superior. #17 is one of the most exciting par 4's I've ever played - in both asthetics and difficulty. The golf course is mature with lightning quick greens. I've heard that Fred Couples went to Saticoy when preparing for Augusta. Every par 3 and par 5 on the golf course could be a signature hole anywhere else. SCC's strongest course feature is the use of elevation changes - no blind shots. There are only 3 or 4 "average" holes. It's not a surprise that the USGA chose it for US Open qualifying. If you get an opportunity to play SCC, don't pass it up. I recommend playing with a member who knows which side of the green to target. Perhaps in the near future, I will be lucky enough to do somebody that favor.

"Decent course little money"
I like the course for the price I pay to play 18. Students get discounts too. In comparison to the other public courses around here in the same price range this course is much nicer.
