Carter Plantation -- *Great Experience*
Review by: Mike Johnson	i flew into new orleans and had time to kill, and was looking for a good golf course to play. the gentlemen at the rental car facility recommended Carter Plantation. He said he had not played it but heard about it through friends. So i drove 30 minutes and found one of the best course i have ever played. The service was first class and had the facility to match. i would recommend this golf course to anyone traveling to Louisiana.

Emerald Lakes Golf Center
"The nicest 9 hole around"
Emerald Lakes is a fun little course that provides the basic golf experiance to the younger golfers in the Elk Grove area. The course has many hazards, including hole 5 which is as good as an island hole as you could get at any 9 hole course. The Course tends to be real hard in the summer and extremely wet during the winter. Give the grass at least 3 or 4 days to soak up water after a hard rain or you'll be chipping out of the mud on most holes. Overall, the course provides just enough amusement to keep the low end golfers happy, while aslo providing a great practice facility including a driving range, chipping green, and putting green. The bottom line, this is the best 9 hole course in the Elk Grove Area.

Quail Ridge Golf Course
"Great Learning Course"
A very fair, playable course. Gives the novice an opportunity to try their skills without extreme risk. It also will challenge the low handicap golfer with it's terrain and hazard placement. The par 5's are scattered on the course so as to challenge you at the most critical times. Holes 8 through 12 will leave you feeling as though you've run a marathon only to have very delicate par 3's ahead.

Glen Cairn Golf Course
"Peaceful Country Setting/True Scottish Course"
Must see course. Country side course, with all levels of rolling hills and water hazords. This is a wonderful drive to a great course. Everyone must check this out!

Twin Creeks Golf Course
"Good for a short course"
I was visiting during a misty, rainy day but other than that I really enjoyed this course because it is not as easy as it looks. You really need to know your irons when playing this course. It's very easy to over-hit some of the holes.
