Gypsy Hill Golf Club -- plays long
Review by: Matt Delfert When the weather cooperates( good rains and temps) the course is green, challenging and plays like a much longer course!! All holes are challenging due to the terrain, and some very scenic fairways with mature wooded breaks. No GPS keeps your game guessing with yardage markers at 200,150 and 100 only. Fees are reasonable and for a public course, kept very well.

Glenwood Golf Club -- forgiving
Review by: jeff raskind Glenwood is a well-maintained public course with reasonable greens fees. For the price, it's among the best in Richmond. The par 5's are very forgiving due to wide fairways and not much out of bounds. The par 3's range from 115 yards to 200 yards with varying degree of difficulty. The par 4's are the most challenging holes as shot placement supercedes driving distance. A little bit of finesse is necessary, especially on the back 9. For the long hitters, 2 of the 3 par 5's are reachable in 2, so there are good scoring oppurtunities. The staff is also very accommodating and make you feel at home
