Gypsy Hill Golf Club -- plays long
Review by: Matt Delfert When the weather cooperates( good rains and temps) the course is green, challenging and plays like a much longer course!! All holes are challenging due to the terrain, and some very scenic fairways with mature wooded breaks. No GPS keeps your game guessing with yardage markers at 200,150 and 100 only. Fees are reasonable and for a public course, kept very well.

Deer Cove -- Great Value
Review by: James Jeffery I love this golf course. I had a membership there a couple of years ago, and still would if I still lived in the area (military transfer). This is a great course to cut your teeth on. The holes are pretty short, but they are also narrow, so you might want to leave your driver in the bag on all but a couple of holes. Additonally, if you have a membership here you will also have a membership on the Naval Weapons Station course. Play either one! Both are good courses for beginners. Accomplished golfers may not appreciate these courses though.
