Manteno is a tremendous value. For less than $20 prime time, you can generally play 18 holes without having to wait. The course is in reasonable condition...the greens run smooth and true.
The front nine is mostly open and flat, but the wind is almost always a factor. The back nine is tighter. There is OB on several holes...mostly to the left on the front nine and then to the right on the back nine.
It runs 6,435 yards from the Blues. The greens are small. The course rating of 70.1 seem about right to me. Overall, a very enjoyable place to play with a unique combination of low cost and fast play! |
