Storm Lake Municipal Golf Course

Featured Golf Course Review:
Lake Creek Country Club -- A lot of character
Review by: Steve This is a very nice 18 hole course. The holes offer a lot of variety, with two large ponds (lake?) and two winding creeks, the water comes into play on many holes. The greens are large and putt very nice. Maybe a little more manicuring around the water would improve the overall look of the course, but it is THE course to play in this neck of the woods.

Waveland Municipal Golf Course -- The WAVE
Review by: John A must play when in Des Moines. Hosts the annual City Tournament. The name WAVELAND fits with the undulating terrain. Many old oak trees throughout. Tight driving holes such as the par 5 3rd where the tee is located on the highest point of the course and is a virtual tunnel of oaks dropping at least 75 feet to the fairway. Gets overplayed in the summer months. To my knowledge the oldest course west of the Mississippi.
