Fort Cherry Golf Club -- *Better than Quicksilver...and cheaper too!!!*
Review by: Frank Tate, PGA instructor	When golf is mentioned around the area of McDonald/Midway/Pittsburgh and it's surrounding areas, most people think of Quicksilver. I urge everyone to play Fort Cherry Golf Club. The staff there treats you like real true people, and are there to serve you. Their gentle courtesey helped me to feel comfortable, even before i stepped forth on the golf course. The course itself is always in beautiful shape. IPrices are right; play is magnificant. I recommend Fort Cherry to all vistors and friends that I know are comming to the area.

Giles Country Club
"Nice course for budget"
I think the golf course is in outstanding shape. The grass is green,pretty good for this time of year! The superintendant is a nice guy. His employee is a nice guy. They get the job done! The employees at the clubhouse are hardworkers too. The only backfall I see is, they need more members. Somebody told me they have lossed alot of members. Hopefully they will try to recruit some members this year. If anybody reads this come on over to the country club its an outstanding place to golf,associate, play cards,and have a good time with friends and family. And need to open the ballroom for some events, make a little cash! Everbody is easy to get along with. Giles Country Club does pretty good for the budget they have.

Stone Oak Country Club
"A beautiful midwest course worth playing"
This course looks timid on paper but watch out on the front nine. A couple of par 5's can really fool you by their degree of difficulty and a snowman is not uncommon on #6. The course is usually in immaculate shape with more hills on the back 9 that you would expect. The shortest par 3 I've ever played, #16 can be tricky even with the softest loft wedge. Overall this coursees beauty is in the top 10 in northwest ohio, and it is great fun to play given that you can find a member to take you out and enjoy it.

Apple Ridge Country Club
"Joe Welsh"
A very easy course, it probably makes the membership feel good about their game. I shot a very mundane 2 under and did not strike the ball that well. There is not much that can be done with this very boring layout, however they could focus on the irregular and unkempt greens. The one star would be for the adequate service at the clubhouse.

"Don't let the yardage decieve you"
ALthough it's a short course, this plays very difficult, thanks to the narrow fairways, and smallish, yet undulating greens
