Sunset Hill Golf Course -- Fun to play
Review by: MLD This isn't the most challenging course you'll ever play, but it's a fun course with great mountain views and wide open fairways. The shortness of the course means you can leave your woods in the back of the car. It's a good course if you need to work on your iron play. The hilly terrain, especially over the last 4-5 holes, can wear you out on a warm day (that is, if you're walking the course). Green fees are inexpensive. A great place to get a quick nine holes in after work.

Derryfield Country Club -- My Local Course - but not my favorite
Review by: sonic Even though it's my local/home course, it's not my favorite place to play in the state. It's more of a "convience course" to quickly play a round or 9 holes after work (it is 18 holes though). Good for beginners and experts alike. Difficulty is about a 4 out of 10 (the hardest part is the hills. Big greens too.). Course Condition is usually 4 out of 10 (they don't seem to do much landscaping here). Hole #2 and 17 are usually watter logged so bring your water proofed shoes. Also, rent a cart unless you are in good condition as many of the holes play along the hill side which has you going up and down. Look to other courses in the region if you are looking to experience NH golf at it's finest as you won't find it here at this municipal course run by the City of Manchester. Oh, they also have so many tourny's here that you probably will need to play in the afternoon too. And there are no twilight rates either.
