Amarillo Country Club -- *Not as good as La Paloma and nowhere near anything in Austin*
Review by: G. Boone Pickens, III	This course is a typical early 20th century design...non-challanging fairways and easy greens. Also, due to the fact that the club property has been land-locked by several decades of established residential development and two major local traffic boulevards, there is no room for expansion or redesign. La Paloma Golf Club, a new private course north of Amarillo Country Club and even two city-owned and operated municipal courses offer more of a challenge to the low-handicapper in Amarillo. I'd pass on this course unless you are a high-hadicapper or just old money Amarillo and a long-time member of Amarillo Country Club who does not desire a golf challenge.
