Review by: DHylas	I spent a week at my friends condo at The Sandpiper and had the time of my life. The staff was professional (Aaron?) and the course was challenging enough for experienced players as well as a novice like me.We felt like the only ones out there sometimes. I gave it a four because I haven't seen enough to rate it 5 but I am sure it's up there. I am seriously consider buying a condo here now and retiring here in 10 yrs, Sign me a satisfied NY'r,

Oyster Bay Golf Links -- *Shell-Shocked by Beauty*
Review by: Jeff Satalin	Oyster Bay is one of the finest golf courses, public or private, that I have ever played. Besides being a beautiful course, the staff is amazing and very helpful. Hole #17 is dangerously tough, but is beautiful. The course is not designed to destroy your confidence, yet it will challenge your skills on certain holes. Not much can be done to improve this course. I try to play it every time I am in the state.

"Joe Welsh"
A very easy course, it probably makes the membership feel good about their game. I shot a very mundane 2 under and did not strike the ball that well. There is not much that can be done with this very boring layout, however they could focus on the irregular and unkempt greens. The one star would be for the adequate service at the clubhouse.

Chalet Hills Golf Club
"Challenging but Fair"
If you play the course right you will have to use every club in your bag. Variety of holes, no two are alike. Trees, bunkers, water, doglegs and hills, this course has it all. Beginners with a wild driver will have some trouble but will not have to hit over obstacles except for two greens surrounded by water. Staff is great and course is getting in better shape each year.

Lakeland Hills Golf Course
"Getting better every day"
Lakeland is a great course for the money. New owners took over is 2002 or so. Hard to remember because we don't play it regularly. They have added new features every year, trees, bridges, new tee boxes, etc.The front nine is fairly open, hard to get into too much trouble. Watch out for some water. We prefer the back nine. It's a little more hilly, still has some water. Nothing to worry about. Lakeland has the best drainage of any course we have ever seen. It is open unless there is snow on the ground. We have played this course in Feb., when a winter thaw and 50 degree days suprized us all. Just played in on Jan 3, 2004 when we has another winter warm spell. Jackson has lots and lots of great courses. No one would ever be disappointed taking a golfing holiday in Jackson, Michigan.
