Genesee Valley Meadows -- Worth the play
Review by: S. Henderson This is one my favorite courses in Micigan and I have played several of the resort and premium daily fee courses around the state. The course is a classic parkland championship course that will test every club and shot in the bag at some point in the round. At almost 6900 yards, this course challenges approach shots and putting with the fast sloping greens, while still offering mid to high shot values from the tee. Big hitters will love this course. With its layout and and twin holes, I would like to know the designer. My guess is Donald Ross.

Briarwood Golf Club - Front Nine Course -- Average course with above average greens = great value
Review by: Matt McMurray In my opinion, this is the best value around. The layout itself is slightly above average and it is usually in good shape for the weekends. It is neither especially long nor short and set so that a variety of clubs must be played off the tees. The greens are this course's best attribute. Although only of average size, and not hand-mowed, they are fast and true. In quality, Briarwood ranks behind this area's Quail Ridge, and Thornapple Pointe, but far surpasses them in value.
