Review by: Anonymous	Play a fade, use a draw, this course tests your shot making ability. Don't worry about spinning the ball: most greens are flat or tilt toward the tee. Great course.

Popes' Grove Golf Course -- *Man is this course SHORT!*
Review by: Ed	a VERY short course, frequented by beginners, and those who have only a hour and a half or so to squeeze in a few holes or want to concentrate on iron play. One hole is less than 80 yards! No hazards. Friendly staff, fairly well kept.

Pointe East Golf Course, The -- *Getting better*
Review by: Tryk	Tecumseh (formerly Pointe East) has shown marked improvement since last year (2004). The current owners(?)- course superintendents have vastly improved the course, greens, and wet areas. The 2nd hole par 5 has been improved by the addition of rocks to border the pond so water doesn�t flood the fairway. The wet area on hole 7 has also been repaired. There were some brown patches put that is understandable given the unusually hot summer Syracuse has experienced. The course is a good course for beginners and presents more experienced players with a challenge to hit the small greens. It will be interesting to see if the superintendent adds any additional hazards to front some of the greens.

Miacomet Golf Club
"The New Miacomet"
Welcome to the new Miacomet!! Complete with 9 new golf holes capturing the essence of links golf. This Massachusetts island has a new name in public golf. This new layout if the wind is blowing is going to be a real challenge. The elevated tees give you a great look at fairway and positioning. The trick is to hit it there with the accuracy needed to conquer a 20 to 30 mile an hour wind. The golf staff were very professional in the running of the shop. Superb lessons provided by Mike's staff. State of the art lessons with Rob. Fantastic!! Bill Affinito's group are learning the paths and new roads that service the new course. Great job. And the new general manager, Alan Costa, fantastic, hard working, creative. The food service is top notch. come try the new course on Nantucket.

Soboba Springs Royal Vista Golf Course
"oddly challenging"
This is one of the hidden gems in Southern California. I live in the Palm Springs area and yet I travel the sixty miles to play this course on a fairly regular basis. The low green fees tell the tale about the course condition. It is not the awesomely green, delicately manicured track you get here in the desert, but the natural beauty and interesting design make it much more fun than the bulldozed beasts you see around here. Playing from the black tees will give the vast majority of players all the challenge they will want. You'll use about every club in your bag and scratch your head when you bogey that hole that looks so easy to birdie. If you ever travel to the Hemet area, give this course a go, you won't regret it.
