Jacksonville Golf & Country Club -- *Best place to play in Jax*
Review by: Bob	There is not as much water as noted here. Challenging play for all levels. Private course. Played it over 200 times now with a 76 low twice. Not bad for a 13 HC. Course under full renovation with expected completion Sept 2004.

Riverside Country Club
"Nice Course tough lies"
When you play this course be prepared to have a hilly lie on most fairway shots, especially on the back nine. The undulation is remarkable and this course gives an average player a run for his/her money. Mid summer the greens can be unforgiving, but still playable with corect club selection. Altogether a course well manicured and the added bonus of having a complete opposite feeling when playing the front nine and the second nine.

Sunnehanna is a remarkable course with difficulty arising from the thick rough and fast greens. It was a pleasure to walk this course.

Glen Garden Golf & Country Club
"History"
Glen Garden is a great place for Golfers of all ages. Playing on the course, it is easy to see how it produced such greats as Hogan and Nelson. They have the classic postage stamp greens. You must be accurate with your approach shot or you will miss the green. It is a great course for beginners as there are relatively few holes where a bad shot will lose your ball. The pace of play is very relaxed and the course staff are over the top friendly. The only down side to Glen Garden is that when it was built it was out in the country (1912?). In the 1950's Fort Worth grew and houses went up all around the course. Unfortunately these houses we small wooden houses and over the years it has become the bad side of town. There have been huge efforts by the local population over the last ten years to clean things up but it will take time. I highly recommend a visit to Glen Garden for any golfer. If you have an interest in history you will find it fantastic to consider you are walking on holy grounds.

THE COURSE HAS A EXCELLENT SET OF GREENS AND THE FAIRWAYS ARE NOT BAD EITHER. NOT ONE OF THE HARDEST COURSES AROUND, BUT DEFINITLY A GOOD ONE.
