| Ticonderoga Country Club -- Challenging long holes & tremendously manicured |
| Review by: David S. |
This 18-holer had a great mix of long and short holes, challenging and intermediate greens. This course is in particularly good condition year after year for such hard winters. Besides for some of the grumpy old men who play the course, and think they own it and let you know it (standard, yet dieing breed of golf clientele for some courses), I have had several fantastic rounds on this course. |

| Westport Country Club, The -- Adirondack gem. |
| Review by: Wm McHone |
My favorite layout in the Adirondacks, a course you can play 100's of times and never tire of. After a difficult first hole you are presented with good scoring opportunities on the front. Holes 10 thru 13 are as tough as they come and as scenic, they stick in the minds of golfers at every level. Take time to chat (or have a lesson) with John Hall, PGA pro and managing partner, I guarantee he'll be friends with at least one pro from your area. |
