Titusville Country Club -- *The best little course ever*
Review by: E	This tiny 9 hole golf course was one of the toughest and most fun to play. The club was a 100 years old in 2001. Gene Sarezen's first professional job was at TCC. TCC is no longer standing thanks to a cheating accountant and a greedy gravel tycoon. It will be deeply missed by all who called this their second home. The course was maintained very nicely and often was said to have the best greens around. For a short 9 hole course it was all most could handle difficulty wise with its small greens and abundance of trees. For those who never got the chance you missed out on a gem. I know I miss it.

Green Acres Golf Course -- *Great Little Course*
Review by: Just a Golfer	I find Green Acres to be a great golf course for the amateur player looking for a moderate challenge. It's only 9 holes, (they are currently working on the back 9 holes), and greens fees are very reasonable. The greens seem to be the most challenging part of the course, (especially on hole #4), so your short game becomes a major factor. The drives and fareway shots should be no problem for the big hitters out there. Overall it's a well layed out course, affordable and very fun to play, you won't regret it!

Wynstone Golf Club
"Employee"
Wynstone is situated on a topographically diverse landscape, unbecoming of many Chicagoland golf venues. It has abundant wildlife which adds to the course's balance between a parkland and wetland. Wynstone also offers a unique challenge for any golfer. Not only is the golf course difficult at 7,000+ yards, but also presents a challenge to any comers at 6,500. Both birdies and bogies are easily found throughout the track. Finally, the course is maintained hard and fast. Fairways and greens are firm which requires and rewards shotmaking.

Sandpiper Golf & Country Club
"A nice short course"
I have played this golf course for the last 10 years, 2 to 5 times each year at various time, usually in the winter. Sandpiper is a short course with plenty of par 3's and short par 4's. The layout makes for a slow round on the front side on a busy day. It usually opens up on the back, which is the better 9 holes. Greens are in good condition year round. Course gets more play in the winter when the ajoining retirement community is fully occupied. Long hitters have no advantage as any long drive (250 or more) puts you too close to the greens. Use irons and 4 woods off most of the tees. Any drive 200 yards down the middle is great for this course. Some holes feel too close to the homes. Can be a real challenge when windy.

Redland Country Club
"Open and Forgiving - A Fun Course"
Redland is an open and forgiving course with a friendly atmosphere. The course offers 5639-yard forward tees, 6266-yard middle tees and 6613-yard blue tees. Fairways are flat with some gentle sloping. Minor water challenges and some fairway sand. Greens are bunkered and reasonably true (there is some difficulty with grass on the greens but, all in all, not too bad). Members describe this course as a Club in the Country and the ammenities will bring you back time after time. It's a fun place with a challenging golf potential. You'll like it!

Spring Hills Golf Course
"This course is a hidden gem"
Spring Hills golf course is well worth the money. The course is generally in good condition and the atmosphere is great. The staff are extremely helpful ans one can feel at home here immmediately. The first four holes are difficult, particularly number 2 if played from the back tee. After that the holes are easier with the exception of number 8 where the approach is tough and the green slopes viciously from back to front. It is a lot of fun to play and well worth the price. The pace of play is generally better than the pace at other area courses, and on weekends if you tee off before 8, a round takes less than 4 hours. It is not fancy, but it is fun. Note the course condition is much better than it was a few years ago, so if you hear otherwise, ask the person when they played thecourse.
