I played Stonehouse in September of '03 and thoroughly enjoyed the round.
While looking intimidating from some of the tees, there is sufficient landing room for your tee shot. It's a very hilly (not for walkers) and picturesque course, demanding accuracy on the par 3's and requiring an accurate carry over a ravine on a number of the holes (not for the faint of heart).
Am looking forward to playing it again!

This course is a well kept secret and I'd prefer to keep it that way; if you can shoot bogey golf here you're an excellent player. I fear a facility this nice will stay a secret only for so long and unfortunately, I expect many people traveling from both north and south on I-77 to play this beauty. The course is meticulously maintained and the atmosphere surrounding the club is simply terrific. All will enjoy playing this gem in the rough. |
