Of the original Toledo municipal courses Ottawa used to be the cream of the crop.
If you want to play it now get there early. The first tee resembles a Los Angeles traffic jam alot of the time with lots of beginners and ladies. Enough to make the the most patient person want to give up the game somedays.
I avoid the place. |

I had the opportunity to play this course for the first time this past week and I came away completely thrilled with the course and totally impressed with the excellent staff and facilities.
It is a course like the white course at the Greenbrier. You get the feeling that Byron Nelson or Sam Snead are going to come out and give you a lesson at anytime.
I can only say that it is an outstanding course with a great history and should be on everyone's
list of fine courses to play.

Given the abundance of courses in Ohio, this course is definitely not worth the fees asked. It is a fairly open/boring course. The prices do not match to product for this typical Ohio public course |
