Tupper Lake Country Club -- Tupper Lake Country Club
Review by: R. Curry This is a course which sits in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains and is surrounded by beautiful views of the mountains and lakes. The first 9 holes have been reconditioned and are in very nice shape. The second nine are undergoing renovation and are in a less desirable condition but are coming along nicely. Flying insects are definitely an issue during late June through mid-August. Reasonable greens fees and a comfortable country club round this course off nicely. With all said, this course currently sits as a 2-3 star course with the potential of becoming a 3+ star course once the reconditioning is completed.

Van Cortlandt Park Golf Course -- Nice practice course, terribly crowded
Review by: Robert This golf course offers 18 holes, some of which are 'interesting', but most are far from challenging. It will offer you the opportunity to practice and the course is conveniently located for Manhattanites (take the 1 train to the Bronx). The course will take at least 5 hours to complete, although I usually end up near 6 hours. To many people and the resulting wait time are to be blamed for that, at least in the weekends (I never played during the week).
