Mare Island Golf Club -- *Sept. 16 golf experience at Mare Island Golf Course*
Review by: Bill Lockett	8 of us played Mare Island Golf Course Sept. 16. at 7:30 AM. The course is in good shape and the views are great - HOWEVER the mosquitos are TERRIBLE! It was hard to concentrate on hitting anything with mosquitos biting your arms and legs SPRAY all the standing water! The mosquitos ruined our day.

Hiddenbrooke Golf Club -- *Great Golf Course*
Review by: Paul	I have played this course several times now... Different times of the day will lend different experiences according to the wind. The course is a challenge without the wind, and an extra sleve is required when the wind is blowing. Arnie did a great job designing this course. The use of the natural water hazards is spectacular. A slice of paradise in the middle of Vallejo. I'm thinking of buying there!

Oak Park Country Club
"Oak Park Country Club"
This is a very nice course to play on. Not the most difficult course you will ever see, but it does have its moments. There is plenty of water and bunkers to keep any golfer busy. Also, the last four holes make the course very challegning. Holes 15 and 16 are the two of the longest par fives on the course. They are followed by the longest par 3 and the you finish of the round with the longest par 4 of the course. The scenery is definetly great, as is the atomosphere. Also, there is a state-of-the-art range and chipping green that could compete with any other clubs.

This was one of the most enjoyable courses I have played. Greens were redone over a year ago and provide a real but fair challenge. Presented with many different shots, Excellent!

Rams Hill Country Club
"Rams Hill Course Outstanding"
This course plays extremely well. Not only is this a beautiful course in every sense of the word, it is set in a most unique place - completely surrounded by the Anza Borrego Desert State Park (nation's largest state park). Two of my favorite holes on the course are the 14th and 18th. Both Fairways provide a challenge with a view. All and all a very nice experience. The Country Club also provides excellent vacation rental opportunities during the golfing experience at www.ramshill.org So get yourself out to Rams Hill - you won't want to leave.

Clayton Park Golf Course
"Local Hidden Gem"
This is a fine local course for working on your irons. Even as a (60 year old) senior, I seldom use more than a 5 wood here. No sand, and water barely comes into play on one hole. Drastic elevation changes on the par 3 second and third holes. Course is wide open and wind can sometimes be a factor. Great for sharpening your skills before taking on regulation courses or for a pleasant 2 to 3 hours outdoors.
