Connecticut Golf Land -- A great pitch-and-putt
Review by: Bill Sandberg Although part of it will soon be bulldozed for a car dealership, I highly reccomend getting there while it's still a full 18 holes! Some holes are lacking in creativity, but quite a few give tricky shots over bunkers, mounded terrain, and alongside the Hockanum River. It's relatively affordable, and a fun way to kill an hour and a half or so.

Burning Tree Country Club -- Don't miss your tee time
Review by: Unknown Perfect golfing conditions from Opening Day through Closing Day. Named Burning Tree because the trees appear to be on fire during fall foliage. Narrow tree-lined fairways. Lots of green-side bunkers. Large-to-small aundulating greens. Forgiving fairways, penalizing rough. Par 3's range from easy to the most difficult. Par 4's require more accuracy than power. Par 5's require more power and accuracy than most in the CT-NY area. Informative caddies. If your're ever invited, make the tee time.
