Boundary Oak Golf Course -- *Not kept up to its potential*
Review by: Darin Lowder	This is my childhood course where I learned the game, so naturally I may have a little favorable bias. I'm disappointed with what appears to be permanent "temporary" greens. When are they going to finally fix them, and why should they charge full price until they are fixed? Until then, I'd recommend Blue Rock Springs in Vallejo, Franklin Canyon off Hwy 4, Delta View in Pittsburg, or Lone Tree in Antioch. Boundary Oak is a beautiful setting though, for those who enjoy viewing the surroundings before making a shot, just as the presentation of a fine meal seems to add to the taste just before devouring it. The layout also provides for some fun shots-- nice elevation changes and you'll use most of the clubs in your bag.

I live in kansas city mo. i have played your course 3 times i have a brother that lives on your course. im a part ime semi pro golfer .What i mean by that is i pick a few tournaments a year to play.I will also be playing your couse this week im picking my brother up to go to houston.i have played over a 150 courses people under rates yours.The course is like two different courses front nine are like alot of midwest courses flat and wide.back nine a lot harder nine going at greens you cant see.lot of easy par three.What im mean again easy for pars not so easy for birdies.Again i like your course i beleive its comperable to over fifty of the courses i have played.Your green fee prices are as cheap as i have seen all across the nation.I will recommend your course to all the golfers i know.Thanks again for the hard work look forwarwed to playing there this week.

"This course helped my game!"
With it's many doglegs and elevation changes, this course will quickly teach the beginners how to setup their approaches, while giving the lower handicap players a reasonably challenging round. 5 of the first nine pins cannot be seen from the tees. If you spray your tee shots, you will surely be struggling to make par. The par threes are deceiving with two short downhills, and two 150-ish up hills. These have been my achilles heel. There are not to many water hazzards, but they are well/poorly place depending on your tendancies. They can easily swallow your ball if your not carefull. The traps are typically limited to wrapping the greens, but watch out for the 5th hole, with its deceiving horizontal sand at 230 yards out. The grounds are well kept with mid speed greens that exactly match the practice green. Prepare for an even mix of wide and narrow fairways, and many misleading doglegs, both slight and sharp. This course has made me a better golfer, and I can't say that about many. Enjoy!
