| Dande Farms Golf Course -- Quiet Open Country Course |

Very few hazards come into play here. No sand. Two of the par threes are over water. The water that comes into play is not close to the green. A nice, bucolic setting, with plenty of mature trees and woody areas throughout the course, even though it is in farm country. None of the holes are boring and some are quite nifty.
The fifteenth is a great dogleg hole, with trouble on both sides, trouble if you hit long through the dog leg, nasty rough, a mound in the left fairway about 240 yards out, and an elevated green. My favorite hole anywhere.
The starting hole tends to be a quick wakeup with a dogleg guarded by a large tree, and a slope away from the dogleg.
A pretty course, especially in spring and fall. |
