If you want to see Lake Superior and several of the Apostle Islands from a unique vantage point, you must play this course. There are at a number of holes where you will want to stop for a minute and soak in the view. The course also has plenty of challenge. There are big changes in elevation, some tight fairways, and several challenging greens. Make sure to bring plenty of golf balls because the rough is dense north woods - it doesn't give back many balls. I'd also recommend riding, unless you're in mountain goat shape. I'd say this is the best course in a 75 mile radius of Bayfield. |
