| Clifton Fine Municipal Golf Course -- Your money's worth |
| Review by: Darren Woods |
I grew up playing this challenging 9-hole course and as a result learned to hit the ball straight. Overall, the course would be considered "short", but there are a number of challenging holes: #2, # 4 (great par 3 over the water), #5 from the top tees, #6 from either tee, and #7 from the alternate tees). Greens are small, but generally receptive to good approach shots.
I now live about 120 miles south of Star Lake and am a member at a larger 18 hole club (Cedar Lake Club). However, I still buy a membership @ Star Lake and am lucky enough to get back and get "my money's worth". It's not the number of rounds that makes me say that...it's the 30+ years of memories each time I play. |
