Review by: Bill	This course isn't overly difficult. The people who own and operate it are very friendly. It's well maintained. The food in the clubhouse is great, especially on Friday evenings.

Oak Ridge Golf Club -- *Could Use Some Help*
Review by: Big Hitter	The course has suffered in the past few years from neglect in up keep. Bunkers are stoney and can cause damage to clubs. Fairways need better drainage that occasionally gets addressed. Can become very wet and muddy with a days rain. Any additional time of rain and the place becomes almost useless to cart travel. Watch out on the par 5's 1 & 18. These cuddle up to a small driving range that can cause problems with your errant drives if you are playing the course or those from the range if you are in the fairway. Range balls often litter both fairways during evening play. Course is challenging and fun when the conditions are good. The extras (beverage cart, food, 19th hole) could be very good, but I have often found them to be not available at times. Half-way house has been abandoned that use to provide beverages and light snacks. Seems like this would provide possibilities during league and busy weekends. Water drinking fountains on course have been very nice addition.

River Park Golf Course
"Under estimated"
River Park Golf Course is an amazing asset to the small town of Mackay ID. Many people including myself under estimated this golf course. When I arrived at the course I felt like I was too good of a golfer for a course like River Park but I was completely caught off guard. The narrow fairways, small quick greens and water hazards made it impossible for me to come close to paring the course the first few times. If you want a golfing challenge visit this wonderful course, where you will also be treated with genuine hospitality.

Westport Country Club, The
"Adirondack gem."
My favorite layout in the Adirondacks, a course you can play 100's of times and never tire of. After a difficult first hole you are presented with good scoring opportunities on the front. Holes 10 thru 13 are as tough as they come and as scenic, they stick in the minds of golfers at every level. Take time to chat (or have a lesson) with John Hall, PGA pro and managing partner, I guarantee he'll be friends with at least one pro from your area.

Woodcrest Country Club
"Woodcrest Country Club"
Woodcrest Country Club is not a long hitters course, but rather accuracy is rewarded. Woodcrest is famous for its rough, so keeping it in the Fairway is the play. Greens are smaller than the nouveau courses, but not the undulating and overly tricky type either. My friends who are low handicappers tell me that the course is tough but fair, and conservative play is best. Higher handicappers like me know the value of course management here.
