Wellsville Country Club -- *Good course.*
Review by: Anonymous	For its location and generally rainy weather, I was surprised at how hard and fast this course's greens tended to be. I narrowly avoided 3-putting a few times and found the water hazard once. I managed to find most of the fairways in the front 9, but with the narrow back 9 fairways, I found myself often in the rough. This course's only major drawbacks are its narrow back 9 fairways and its fast greens.Overall, a good course.

Pheasant Hollow Golf Club -- *More like Peasant Hollow... (0 stars)*
Review by: Tony Covey	Hands down the worst golf course I have ever played. There are no fairways; only closer cut rough. Greens are poorly maintained, and painfully slow (the grass on the practice green had seed stalks). On #7 my approach shot actually stuck in the green (I had to use a divot repair tool to dig it out). The green on #8 was covered with small mushrooms. Don't waste your time with this one. It's not even worth the $9 to walk.

Stevens Park Golf Course
"Classic Muny"
Stevens is only a few minutes from downtown. It's in a beautiful area and has some scenic views of Dallas. It's a classic muny and a good course to walk. There are many challenging holes and there are some very easy holes. Number 2 is a very short par 4 and is reachable from all of the tees. Number 12 is a short par 5 dog leg that is reachable in 2 but there are many well placed trees and an elevated green with a mean slope and you'll be happy if you get your 5. There are a few holes where you can hit your drive as far as you can but most take some strategy off the tee. On 17 you can hit 220 yards straight away or 140 yards to the right side of the fairway and both will leave an open short iron shot to the green... if you avoid two beautiful oaks and a wide creek on that tee shot. The par 3's are gorgeous and the two on the back are included in the 3 hardest on the back nine handicap chart. Stevens Park is a favorite, great taquitos in the snack bar too.

Shenandoah Country Club
"Fun little course"
Shenandoah is where I learned to play, and it was great for that purpose. The fairways are somewhat narrow, but that kept me more focused on where to put the shot. The club is in the process of improving the course--drainage has been an issue--and it should reallly be nice in the spring.

Mayfair Country Club
"Nastalgic Ross Course"
The Mayfair course brings us back to a time where the longest hitters on the PGA only drove the ball 250 yards. This means that for the majority of men today, you can play this course like the pro's play their championship 7200 yard courses. A good tee shot leaves you with a 7 to 9 iron approach. The signiture Donald Ross Turtle back greens are high and sloped and need to be navagated with thought. The open fairways mean that for the average golfer that is in the fringe or ruff you can still play on without haveing to take too many penality strokes like you do on some narrow house lined courses. In short, this course is beautiful with its tree lined fairways and a good challenge for the average golfer. If money value for course were a catagory this would be a five star.
